Thirty five degrees and drizzly, and 4 brave tourists came out for the very last tour. Nine had registered, 5 declined because of the weather, and my super kind husband showed up at the last minute to surprise the tourist group and me - he wanted to be on the last tour.
That's right - after 6 1/2 years, I am closing down! Giving the tours has been such fun - pure joy, but I must move on to other things.
Over the past 6 1/2 years I have guided 2,259 tourists on 412 tours. The visitors have come from 35 countries, 40 different towns and cities in North Carolina, and 46 different states in the USA. I have given tours for local and international travelers, different departments at UNC, the Friendship Force, various corporations, weddings, and soooo many reunions.
Thank you to everyone who traveled with me along the way!!

What a lovely way to spend 90 minutes. Sally is so friendly and knowlegeable. I would recommend this tour to everyone! - Jennifer
I especially enjoyed Sally's coverage of the history of Chapel Hill, including the civil rights movement. Showing us Michael Brown's Murals was a nice addition - Johnny
